There are some things you don’t get over. You just learn to live with them.
The Bible tells us the virgin Mary’s odd and unexpected pregnancy could bring rejection from her fiancé and community, shame to her family; possibly even a death sentence. Still, she accepted boldly and without hesitation.
We call her the virgin Mary, but there is more to her than that. She is brave Mary, wonder Mary, crazy Mary maybe. Because her response wasn’t ‘no’ it was ‘bring it’. (Read Luke 1:26-38)
She is blessed Mary, because she allowed herself and the world to be changed through the suffering she faced.
There is goodness born of pain. Be brave. Be wonderful. Be crazy. Believe.
