Some Pharisees and Sadducees were on him again, pressing him to prove himself to them. He told them…“You find it easy enough to forecast the weather—why can’t you read the signs of the times? – Matthew 16:1-3

Wouldn’t everything be easier if we just had a sign from God? It wouldn’t even have to be a big sign. Just some little miracle so we know he’s paying attention.

When Jesus was asked for a sign, he said he had been giving signs all along. His signs are all through the Bible. He healed the sick, calmed the storms, fed thousands, and brought the dead to life. There were definitely signs!

Sometimes, God doesn’t answer the questions we ask. But he does tell us what we need to know. He is our healer and our hope.
