Addiction sucks.
At first it’s so exciting! Like a light turned on in a dark living room, it promises to fill up the empty. Then, at some point, you’re working hard to control it, and the next thing you know, it’s out of its box and taking over the house.
Ralphie’s mom is absolutely the star of the lamp story.
My favorite Christmas pictures are the ones of a screaming kid on Santa’s lap. Poor kid! You know what he’s thinking:
“Um…stranger danger…?”

When my hubby and I visited San Francisco a few weeks ago we spent an entire day in Haight-Ashbury, home of the hippie movement of the 1960’s.
We had a blast. Haight-Ashbury is an eclectic neighborhood defined by self expression rather than social expectation. Everywhere you look there is creativity, connection, and a lifestyle of easy, natural peace.
